The ice broke into thousands of pieces. I had to shield my eyes and wait for the shower to be over before I risked opening my eyes.
A loud shriek reverberated from the gaping hole on the ground, and the largest bug came crawling out from it. My eyes grew wide, but more importantly, it spooked the horses.
Not only ours but so as Arrow's and the rest.
"It's alright," I rubbed the horse's neck. It replied with a soft neigh. "I'm not going to let it harm you. But you need to trust me."
The horse neighed again. I continued to rub it until I could sense that it was no longer about to jump or push me off to run away.
This giant bug monster looked very scandalous. It had hideous red eyes and sharp ends covering its forelegs, ready to lash out at the enemy to stand before it. I could only hope it wouldn't be me who would tear it into pieces.
