I watched the insides of the slime monster turn to ice as I replaced the flame with the icy breath. Fifi was able to create a shield to protect the humans from getting frozen along with the slime.
I appreciated her effort despite the glares she sent my way. I have no idea what I had done wrong to deserve her wrath. But I'm occupied right now.
The beast might not be aware of what was happening. Or maybe it was, but no amount of gaseous poison whatsoever could help it stop icing its entire system.
"Just a little bit more," I coaxed, my fingers feeling numb with the chilly atmosphere. A few more, and the slime became a slab of an ice slime.
I risked removing the cover from my nose and mouth. The fog had cleared, and we were bathed in a new mist. It was the cold essence coming from the iced slime walls.
