"Whoa!"
I think the whole world was spinning beneath my feet, and I needed to sit down before I dared to open my eyes.
"Exo?" I heard Sab the first time, but I was busy trying to get my wits together.
"Yes?" I pinched the bridge of my nose, slowly getting back to reality. "I'm right here, yes. Where's Toko, by the way?"
I remembered hearing the girls but missing out on Toko's male voice.
"He's in the kitchen," Sab replied.
I forced my eyes open and finally stared at Ysabel and Sab. They both had surprised looks on their faces.
"What are you doing here?" Ysabel asked, but I'm glad she didn't sound so accusatory.
"Well, things changed. And," I produced the access card, throwing it on the floor. "I no longer need this. So, call Toko. We need to get moving."
"Did something happen?" Sab inquired.
"A lot of things always happened."
"Okay, hold on. I'll go get Toko."
