"Tch," Riley stepped back, smirking as he called for Rex to join him. "You're still as clueless as ever."
With a single whistle, Rex approached Riley, lowering on all fours to let him mount. Then, without another word, they left, vanishing into thin air.
"Is that your friend?" Arrow spoke. I scoffed, turning to head back to the others.
"He would be the last person I'd ever consider being friends with. Didn't you hear? He was the one who killed me."
"In my universe, everyone kills everyone. There's no exception."
"What? Does that mean even if the individual you kill is your mother, your kind doesn't feel any remorse?"
Arrow shrugged nonchalantly. He then went on ahead. It left me to stare at the back of his head. There was a certain lightness on his steps.
I somehow envy him.
If the Universe I lived in was the same as Arrow's Universe, we might all be dead before the enemy monsters could even visit.
