A tangy smell woke me in the middle of the rest mode.
I know I shouldn't have woken up yet; Fifi's surprised expression when I got up all too suddenly was proof of it.
But after that revelation, I couldn't stand being in his presence, whoever that was.
"Oh?" Fifi put a hand on my forehead as if checking for my temperature. "Are you feeling better?"
As soon as she asked that, my wound started aching, numbing everything else and making me forget what woke me up just now.
"Damn," I groaned, closing my eyes and trying to endure the pain. "I can't even scream at you for what you've done."
Fifi withdrew her hand, eyeing me up and down.
"Did Master Nichen talk to you?"
I scoffed, making a face right after.
"No," I croaked. "I think he must have had enough of me. It would take a while before he would show up again."
"Tch," Fifi folded her arms over her ample chest. "He finally gave up on you. I see. It's not surprising."
