Arrow raised two fingers, indicating how many monsters from the other Universes he had felt.
Reopening his eyes, Arrow caught my gaze.
"There were two monsters who came here. I don't know about the…." Arrow paused, frowning. He glanced at me and then at our small company. "I don't know what happened to the people. Perhaps they were taken as hostages. The creatures that came seemed to have a high intellectual level."
"High danger levels," I murmured, exchanging nervous glances with Fifi. She curled her hands into tiny balls of fists. I'd be scared if her anger were directed at me at the moment. I'm grateful it wasn't.
"Could you sense people too?" I tried, knowing that I might be pushing my luck too hard.
Arrow shook his head. And then his eyes lingered on me. I gulped, my heart thrumming in my chest.
"Do you want to try it?"
His question caught me off guard. I was sure my mouth was hanging open.
