"Oof!" Winter and I dove into a nearby alleyway to avoid getting hit by rapidly shooting arrows. The ground was covered with electrically charged arrows, making it impossible for anyone to saunter by and live to see the day.
I haven't even rested, and yet here's another dilemma. Will they ever stop coming?
"Another monster?" Winter asked her voice nothing but a whisper. I nodded.
This is getting old. I wish these enemy monsters could give me a break. At least two days of no appearance, yes?
"Stay here, alright?" I told Winter, scanning the vicinity. If I didn't do anything, we would forever be trapped in the small space, and unless someone else saved us, we'd be here all night.
Swoosh!
An arrow flew past my head, missing my hair by inches. I put a hand over my chest, my breathing becoming unsteady.
"Hey!" I called out. "At least play a fair game!"
