While the women took care of Crystal, I fancied myself to have a look around the place we chose to stay for the night.
It was not far from where we found Crystal, but neither was it too close for a five-minute walk. Needless to say, we were covered in sweat when we found an Inn.
Unlike the Tavern, this place was nothing fancy. But it was decent and comfortable.
Small potted plots were hung by the stairs and in the vicinity, creating a natural ambiance inside. There was a faint smell of mint, coaxing a person to feel serene like a cup of tea would.
There were some portraits on the wall.
The Inn must have been around for a long time, a few of the wooden walls had splinters and patches, a sign that there had been holes appearing now and then.
Termites could be one problem. Or perhaps some otherworldly creature did it too.
My bitter thoughts surprised me.
