Exo eyed me from head to foot, perhaps analyzing why I suddenly asked such a preposterous question. He took a deep breath, scoffing at the end.
"What does it matter to you? You are tasked to eliminate the monsters using my body. That's all there is for you to know and understand."
It was my turn to scoff, shrugging at his unexpected response.
"I just thought it would be less rude to know at least what happened to the owner of the body I'm borrowing. You don't have to make it sound like I'm being nosy. I'm not asking about your love life or your life in general."
I paused. Savvy came to mind in that instance, making me wonder if I should actually ask him about her.
But this was probably not the best time. However, my curiosity was gnawing on my insides again.
Exo held my gaze but said nothing. I folded my arms over my chest, wondering what he must be thinking about.
