"I knew it," Fifi grimaced. She clicked her tongue, clearly annoyed at the choice I made.
I shook my head, clicking my tongue as we kept some distance from the rest. Diva has yet to wake. She was looked after by the only other person who wasn't scared of her.
Arrow volunteered to stay by her side while the others searched for food. In her interest, perhaps, Ivy joined Arrow.
I left him to deal with the two once the other woke up. Diva wouldn't sit still for being fooled by Ivy. It may have been a few minutes only, but I'm sure the vampire wouldn't let it slide.
"Well, I'm sorry. It just happened."
Fifi shook her head.
"Your fault or not, I was still right when I said you'd be snagging another monster."
I chuckled.
"Fine," I turned to Fifi. "You win."
"It was never about winning," Fifi patted my shoulders. "But thanks. So now what? We almost said goodbye, but ended up staying."
I pursed my lips.
