"This will be energy zapping, but I promise you, you'll be fine," I whispered to Bronn. He nodded but looked at me warily.
I glanced at Diva and Ephis. They didn't appear to be bothered, but I highly doubt that they really weren't.
I'm sure they were doubtful about my intentions, as they should be.
I would be in the same boat if I were in their shoes.
But I won't let them know that.
"Are you ready?"
I asked Bronn. He held my gaze.
There was uncertainty on his face. But either way, he nodded.
"Let's do this."
He tentatively extended his hand to me, looking confused but determined.
When we touched hands, Fifi joined us. Before the two could try and stop us, I hurried to get us out of there, praying that Nirvana would extend its help to us as well.
"Stop…!"
It was only a faint sound, but I managed to catch the incredulous look on Diva's expression.
"Take care, vampire lady."
