Blood dripped from my arm as I stood motionless and allowed the bloodraith to finish its final attack.
Sharp daggers came flying out of its mouth. It had the body of a lion, like Rex, but its head was larger than anything else in its body.
Its head reminds me of sculptures of beasts displayed in a mausoleum. There was one in Kashjai, and a known hunter collected bones of various animals and created sculptures.
I smirked.
The stinging pain from my wounds was nothing compared to the constant ache inside my chest. There was that certain longing, agony, and sorrow. It was a kind of pain that no one would understand and no one could help me heal from.
"Are you done? Is that all you have to give?" I clicked my tongue. "I'm fairly disappointed."
Summoning the flames, I felt the power surging from inside and transferring it to my hands.
"Now it's my turn!"
I rushed forward, flaming hands outstretched.
