Aryan spent the next few weeks killing Fire Wolves, practicing his fighting skills, and increasing his strength as well as his reserves, he was now much stronger, by about 3 times, and much more adept at using his weight changeability, with his EP reserves almost hitting 10,000, the limit he could currently store, however, his body wasn't able to withstand using all that power at an instant as it the power would tear about the rest of his body. Right now, Aryan was searching for Fire Wolves like usual when he came across an unusual, single Fire Wolf, the only one he had seen since his first encounter with these creatures, but thinking no more, he rushed towards it, deciding to kill it straight away as it would be too easy of a fight to improve from, however, the instant he was within five meters of the wolf, 10s of fireballs from all directions blazed towards him, some were the size of a snow globe whereas others were the size of footballs, one, coming directly from the front was about 1meter in diameter with a temperature that incinerated the surrounding vegetation, Aryan quickly brought his emotions under control and decided on a plan of action in an instant without having enough time to dodge he could only tank it, he focused 70% of his Surpassers Skin onto his front forearms and chest, ready to brace for the massive fireball, while spread the other 30% evenly across his body to defend against the others, he also increased his arms weight by 7 times so that they wouldn't be thrown back and the rest of his body by 5 times. He was now ready for the impact, as soon as the first fireballs hit, Aryan realized that this was gonna hurt, his back began searing under the heat of multiple fireballs as he was only able to use 30% of Surpassers Skin to cover his legs, and back, however his front was even worst, he had underestimated the power of the largest fireball, it turned out that size didn't always correlate to heat, the flame was so hot that the centre of the ball had turned a shade of blue, the moment the fireball came into contact with Aryan's arms, the skin started to sizzle and melt, however, the pain as the least of his worries, as soon the first volley of fireballs were fired, a second wave came, then a third. More and more blazing hot spheres hit Aryan's body, realizing his life might be in danger soon if he carried on taking damage without healing, he activated Boundless Blood, Organ Overdrive on his heart, and focused Limitless Muscle, using 500 EP every minute, on the muscles pumping blood in his heart, he called this, Pure Survival, this caused a layer of blood to cover his entire body, and his heart to pump endless blood about 10 times faster than before, allowing the cocoon the replace any burnt blood, however, even then he only stopped his condition from getting any worse, but this didn't fix the root problem, even supplying more EP was out of the question as it would do more harm to his heart than good, the tissue wasn't yet strong enough to handle the pressure of any more blood. Aryan racked his brain for ideas, 'Think! Aryan. Think!', but nothing would come to mind, he could only continue to persevere. 'Boom!', the moment that thought passed his mind, his consciousness was dragged into his mind, where there, sat an old book quietly floated with the words, 'The Nine Chronicles Of Sovereignty', as soon as he arrived before the book it opened to a page previously locked to him before, it read:
'The First Chronicle Of Sovereignty: Perseverance.
Each Chronicle in this book correlates to an emotion or quality, that I have discovered, is necessary to achieve supreme power, and each Chronicle has a prize, as a reward for cultivating these qualities, therefore the reason you are seeing this Chronicle is that have achieved the first Chronicle Of Sovereignty: Perseverance. The ability to persevere is not just being able to resist, it's being able to forward think, carry on pushing forward and advancing, to keep trying until either you die, or reach unimaginable heights. Now, on to the prize, each prize will be an item that you subconsciously associate with perseverance the most, it will also have many incredible abilities and be able to evolve and improve alongside you.'
Aryan's mind was then thrust out from the book and into his less empty mind, Aryan looked around for his prize, 'HAHAHAH!', the moment he saw the item he burst out laughing, sat in front of him was a 5ft long wooden, dark brown pole with a piece of flat metal that came out at a 90-degree angle to the shaft, in other words, a gardening hoe. That was the reason Aryan was laughing, his new weapon was going to be a gardening tool, however that didn't mean he looked down on the item, he knew anything given as a prize from that book was definitely special, and he soon found out he was right, information about the tool flooded into his mind. The item, conveniently named the Hoe Of Perseverance, had a plethora of abilities, its basic ones were its extremely sharp edge and tough wooden frame, and if it were to break it had the ability to self-repair. Its next even more impressive abilities, were the Shield Of Perseverance, it was a shield that could be focused into a small area or spread out to cover all 360 degrees, albeit slightly weaker, that's initial strength was determined by doubling the level of strength, Aryan's strongest attack could deal - without using any abilities - and as long as the attack wasn't beyond that strength it would absorb the impact and strengthen itself indefinitely, furthermore, its increased strength would stay until it was broken, the other ability was called the Strike Of Perseverance, which would convert any attack dealt to Aryan into force he could use all at once in one strike, with the more powerful and frequent the attacks Aryan could withstand the more powerful the strike.
