La Rue ran throughout the day and into the night, getting as far away from history repeating itself as possible. She would not let any feelings she might have let grown for Thyrious get in the way of her survival. As much as she hated being alone, she knew it was best. She knew it was the only way to keep her sane, and her heart in one piece.
Tears blurred her vision as the look of anger in Thyrious's eyes reappeared in her mind. She wouldn't ponder who his anger was directed towards, not when she remembered the last set after a situation like at the river happened.
La Rue shook her head. Don't think about any of it. She only focused on the future and finding somewhere safe to hide and live out the rest of her life alone. Maybe north? She had heard tales of how no wolves traveled to the far north for it was too cold. La Rue was willing to chance it. She was willing to chance it all.
Determination rekindled, La Rue quickened her pace and headed toward her final destination.
