OMNISCIENT POV
"Rae..." Ilios's eyes fight to stay open so he can look at his love. The blonde reaches up and wipes a tear from Rae's cheek. "You have to stay alive..." Ilios begins before a clot of black blood clogs his throat. After a few coughs, the angel is able to spit out the clot. "Promise me..." he continues, "Go on a vacation."
"Ilios, you have to come with me. We promised we would go together," Rae cries as his tears fall on his love.
"Please, Rae."
Once Rae nods slowly, Ilios reaches out for his little star. Castyr instantly takes his hand, fresh tears staining his face. "Stay strong, Castyr. It's been an honor."
Castyr becomes inconsolable as Ilios turns his head to Rae and gives him the sweetest smile. "I love you." Those silver eyes fall closed for the last time, the image of his love aiding him in a peaceful passing.
"Ilios! No, no, no. Baby? Ilios," Rae cries as he holds Ilios's head gently and presses him close to his chest.
Castyr looks down at the hand holding his. Its faint grip has disappeared. Castyr wishes it will suddenly hold onto him and he will look up to see those silver eyes smiling at him. But he knows that will not happen. Those silver eyes are closed, and there is no life left to open them.
Castyr begins to shake with fury as he stands to his feet. He looks down into the chaos to see Kilo battling demons while the others occupy the king. He can feel the power rush through his body as he begins firing light sphere after light sphere into the crowd of demons as he runs down the steps of the platform and charges towards the king. He will end this...today.
"Move!" Castyr warns as he nears the king. Orion, Aklys, and Denzyl turn to see Castyr charging at them with blazing purple eyes. The three whirl away as Castyr reaches the king and grabs him by the throat. Castyr gasps as the king copies the star's hold and also clutches his throat.
"You just won't die!" The king growls in a low voice.
"Not before you," Castyr retorts, causing the king to tighten his hold. Castyr does the same, shocking the man in his hold.
"If you won't die, I'll make you wish you had," the king decides as he begins filling Castyr with poisonous smoke.
By this time, Orion, Aklys, and Denzyl have taken over the fight with the masses for Kilo. The captain is quick to run to his star only to be stopped by an outstretched arm. "Don't come close!" Castyr begs his angel. He hopes Kilo will heed his warning. He can not let Kilo get hurt.
"Castyr-"
"Stay away!" Castyr orders as he focuses on fighting the poison flowing into his body.
"Castyr!" Kilo calls as he begins to run to his star, but Denzyl comes and holds him back. "Let me go!" The angel orders as he struggles against the demon.
"No, Kilo. Castyr knows what he is doing," Denzyl replies as he keeps his hold on the angel.
Kilo watches as black veins creep over Castyr's body and his eyes turn black. What surprises Kilo is that the black veins are flowing out of the king's body, almost as if Castyr is sucking the demon's essence into his own body.
"What-what are you doing to me?" The king calls as the light begins to whirl around them.
Castyr bids through the link as he closes his eyes and uses the blood sun one last time to send a final blast throughout the entirety of Hades.
"Castyr!!!" Denzyl is quick to cover Kilo's eyes as the angel calls his star's name desperately.
Kilo rips away Denzyl's hand as soon as the light recedes. He rushes to the spot where the star and king were fighting to find it empty. Kilo feels as if his world is crashing down. Castyr is gone. He sacrificed himself to save everyone. A single tear escapes Kilo's eye as the angel falls to his knees. His mind becomes empty as Castyr's presence disappears. He is alone.
His star is gone. The light of his world, the one he fought so hard to protect...his love is gone.
Castyr is gone.
