OMNISCIENT POV
The stars shine brightly as Kilo lies on his bed awake. He is restless. He wants Castyr out of that place and in his arms as soon as possible. He wants to be able to bury his nose in his star's neck and know only him. He wants to get lost in those star-filled eyes. He wants to storm Hades and save Castyr from its torments. But he has to wait. He has to wait until the right moment. Their brilliant, mad plan holds too many risks. If he acts out now, he may lose Castyr forever.
So, Kilo tries his best to fall asleep so maybe, just maybe, he will have a chance to catch Castyr asleep and pull the star into his dreams. After a few hours, Kilo is finally able to fall into a restless sleep. But unlike the other dreams, Kilo is met with a sight that fills him with horror. As soon as he enters REM state, Kilo finds himself standing in an iron cage in a dark corridor lit by fire. A slight glow surrounds Castyr as he hovers over something in a back corner of the cage.
"Castyr?"
The star looks up at his name. "Kilo?" Tears threaten to come pouring, adding a glisten to those sky-dark eyes.
"What's wrong?" Kilo asks as he approaches his star.
"I-I-I- can't heal him. He won't wake up. Why isn't he healing?"
Kilo kneels down beside Castyr to see a pale, black-haired boy in the star's arms. Blood and bruises cover the boy's body. "What do I do?" Castyr looks at Kilo with watery eyes.
"Baby, you're asleep right now, okay?"
"Oh? But why isn't he healing?"
Kilo's heart breaks as he pulls Castyr into his arms. He is having a nightmare, but Kilo does not know if it was induced from the boy actually getting hurt, or if something happened that traumatized Castyr...or both. But he needs to know. "Are you okay right now? Do you remember what happened before you fell asleep?"
"I-I don't think I fell asleep," Castyr responds, his eyes glued on the unconscious boy in front of him.
"What do you mean?" Fear strikes Kilo.
"I was hit on the head when...when..." the star chokes on his words as he recalls the traumatic event.
"Shhh. It's okay," Kilo sooths as he begins petting Castyr's head. "It's okay." Kilo turns Castyr's head into his neck so he smells his scent. The angel looks around in the world Castyr trapped himself in for his nightmare. It is crude, with thick bars separating each cell. "You can tell me what happened, but I am getting you out of here right now," Kilo says as he cradles Castyr in his arms and stands to his feet.
"But what about-"Castyr tries to look at the unconscious form on the ground, but Kilo keeps his head turned into him.
"Don't worry about him. You can't help him in this state. Let me get you somewhere else, okay?"
"Okay," Castyr mumbles into Kilo.
Kilo tightens his hold on Castyr as he exits the cage. As soon as he walks through the cell's door, they enter their room in Devyn's tower as Kilo changes the location of their dream. Kilo gently sets Castyr on the bed before getting on himself and pulling the blanket over both of them. Castyr immediately moves as close to Kilo as he can, wanting to be enveloped by his angel. Kilo wraps his arms around Castyr as the star nuzzles into him.
Kilo begins planting soft, loving kisses on his star, reassuring him that he is alright. He slips his hands under Castyr's shirt and begins rubbing his back to help his love relax. After a few minutes, Castyr's head clears, and his dazed state lessens. Kilo feels Castyr move to where he can look into his eyes. The star immediately melts when he sees those deep purple eyes.
"How are you feeling?" Kilo's hand moves up and down Casty's back lovingly as he stares into those star-filled eyes.
"Better, but..." Castyr's brows crinkle as he thinks back on what happened just before he was rendered unconscious.
"It's okay. Take your time."
Castyr nods and takes a breath before saying, "Can we save him?"
"Who? The boy?" Kilo's voice is soft as he answers.
Castyr nods. "When you come for me, can you save him, too?"
"Of course," Kilo nods and smiles lovingly before pulling Castyr back into him.
"I miss you, Kilo."
"I miss you, too, Glow Stick." Kilo continues to move his hand up and down Castyr's back in soothing motions.
The angel gives his star a kiss on the top of his head as they lay in each other's arms.
That's it, I am not waiting anymore. I can't leave Castyr there any longer. We will have to speed up the plan. I. Am. Not. Waiting.
