Asher couldn't believe his ears as he quickly dropped the witch that was about to die, he slowly turned to face the source of the voice. He couldn't stop surprised from flushing his face as he saw the source of the voice.
" Shawn." Asher muttered.
" You know me?" Shawn asked as he looked at the surprised Asher.
" Yes, of course." Asher blurted out as he moved closer to Shawn that still looked at Asher like a stranger.
" Don't come any closer." Shawn said Asher stopped walking, he didn't know what was wrong with Shawn and he might anger him if he is not careful.
" What's wrong with you?" Asher asked.
" Nothing, I should be asking that question. How did you know my name? Why are you acting like you know me?" Shawn asked as he slowly walked towards Asher with a curious look on his face. Asher calmed his racing breath as he watched Shawn walk towards him, he didn't dare to move because Shawn might just casually kill him.
" I know you, you are my magic teacher." Asher said firmly and Shawn stopped walking for a second before continuing to walk towards Asher. Shawn finally reached Asher and he stood opposite Asher before staring at his face.
" Asher… can you hear me?" Asher heard in his head and he nodded in response because he knew that Shawn was the one communicating with him.
" The dark witches are controlling me, making me do bad things for them because I can't die. When I die, they just resurrect me again but I have managed to retain a little sanity and that's why I am able to speak to you. I am happy that you are trying to save me but let me warn you as a teacher and friend… stay away from the dark witches. They have gotten strong, stronger than we have all thought." Asher heard Shawn say unhurriedly in his head, to everyone looking at them, they are two men staring at themselves.
Asher's face twitched as he managed to keep his emotions from showing on his face after hearing what Shawn said. He saw Shawn crack a smile before Shawn lifted him off the ground and he threw him against a wall, Asher passed out immediately his body touched the wall.
Shawn hurt Asher intentionally because he wanted to protect Asher from the dark witches controlling him.
" Stand up, we are leaving." Shawn said to the witch that Asher almost killed, the witch stood up and she disappeared with Shawn.
Twenty minutes later, Asher woke up and he stood up before looking around him.
" What happened to you?" Asher heard Elina say as she walked towards him.
" That's none of your business." Asher responded sharply as he cleaned his clothes with his hand.
" What's wrong with you? I saw that you were passed out on the ground and you are telling me that asking is none of my business?" Elina said but Asher didn't respond.
" Did you come with a vehicle?" Asher asked.
" Yes." Elina responded.
" Let's go then." Asher said and they headed towards the car that Elina brought. They got into the car and Elina drove them to Sunny's house. While they were in the car, Asher thought about what Shawn said to me.
He didn't plan to do what Shawn told him because he had promised that he would save Shawn and avenge his family and he must do it. He would search for the dark witches and he would save Shawn and avenge his family by destroying the dark witches that were responsible for the death of Toni. But the problem was that he wasn't strong enough to do anything against the dark witches, he could barely protect himself.
He wanted to get stronger but he didn't know how to get stronger as a Vampire, there are few Vampires on Earth after all. And he didn't know where he could get knowledge on how a Vampire could get stronger, the only chance he has at getting stronger is meeting Lana… again.
" You look like you are in deep thoughts." Elina said as she looked at Asher.
" Yes." Asher muttered.
" Do you know anything about Vampires?" Asher suddenly asked Elina.
" Why do you want to know about Vampires?" Elina responded curiously.
" I heard that they are rare supernaturals and I am curious so I want to get detailed information about Vampires." Asher said.
" Well, I have a book that was written by a Vampire thousands of years ago, it has the details about Vampires." Elina said and Asher smiled after hearing what Elina said.
" But you have to pay a price before I give you the book. The book is a strange book that majority of the supernaturals on Earth don't know about, including its existence." Elina said.
" What's the price?" Asher asked.
" You will get to know later but I will give you the book before the end of today." Elina responded.
" No, you should tell me now so that I will know what I am getting into." Asher said but Elina shook her head slightly.
" I already stated my terms if you want the book." Elina said.
" I can't agree to your terms Elina." Asher said.
" Then there is no deal." Elina said and she continued driving. Asher couldn't agree to the deal if he didn't know what price he would pay for the book.
