I ran back to the lunch room after having another bad feeling. My suspicions were correct.
"BACK OFF!" I yelled, punching both of the dickheads and giving Katie her bread back.
"You dick! Call the headmaster quickly!"

"Next time you mess with either of them I think you'd look better with your jaw dislocated…"

I ended up having a big fight with the two of them. We got injured, but the headmaster still gave me a stern talking-to.

What was that…? Why am I getting flashbacks now?
As my consciousness came back, so did the pain in my body—just a little less than usual. I was back in the house, lying on the mat again. No matter how you put it, that fight was intense. It was so much more difficult than the other two trials that I was literally fighting for my life. But it's thanks to that that I was able to regain my constellations again.
Anyway, I got up and immediately noticed I wasn't stumbling or anything like I expected. While I was still bandaged up, my whole body wasn't completely in pain or paralyzed. I could actually move my right arm more efficiently now, which let me breathe a sigh of relief. Most of my upper and lower body were covered in bandages, and I had no clothes on besides my jeans.
I decided to take a walk outside, which led me to Sothis. He was sitting near the river, looking up at the blue sky.
"Yo, Sothis," I called to him, leaning on the door's hinge.
He looked back, and as I made eye contact, he stood up and smiled, putting his arms on his hips and exclaiming, "Nice job!"
We gave each other a thumbs-up.
"Ya know, giving a thumbs-up with a poker face seems a little ironic, don'tcha think?" Sothis asked.
I didn't feel the need to respond, but he had a point, and it's not like I could control it.
"Well, anyways, you should have your constellations, right?"
"Yeah, I haven't looked yet since I woke up."
Sothis suggested, "There should be some dot in the corner of your vision. Try focusing on that."
As he said, there was an icon in the corner of my vision, and after I focused my attention on it, a larger menu popped up.

Suddenly, the menu became that much clearer, which was strange but better for me anyway. The bottom showed my apparent attributes multiplied by a good chunk, which explained my heightened physical abilities so far.

This is interesting. So, The Phoenix gives me all of these things? The one that stood out the most to me was Wings.
"I have wings?" I asked Sothis.
"Yeah! If you want to activate anything, I'm sure you just think about it. Constellations are also about convenience, ya know." Sothis explained.
I stepped outside and focused on my wings, and a few moments later, I could feel them forming within me. The area where my shoulder blades were had increased in heat, and moments later, my wings sprouted out.
"Woah!?"
They were huge! If I had to guess the wingspan, it would be close to fifteen to twenty feet! My right wing was white, while my left was black. It was like having two extra limbs, meaning I could move them however I wanted to. They'd also been incredibly soft with an abundance of sprouting feathers. They did sort of remind me of a phoenix loosely.
Sothis stood back up and looked at me proudly.
"Now you're starting to look like the comet I know!" Sothis exclaimed, "I have one more trial for you. We're gonna spar, and I want your main goal to hit or at least make contact with me!" Sothis suggested.
"I'd be up for the challenge." I agreed.
"But first, I want you to activate your scythe."
My scythe…?
I did as he suggested and focused my attention on activating it.
After a short period, my palm began to heat up. Checking on it revealed blue flames covering the surface. My first instinct was to reach into my palm, and my arm went straight through it like some sort of portal.
I grabbed onto what felt like a handle and pulled…
It came out relatively straight and less like a scythe. It looked more like a spear with how it was pulled out, and it was at least twice or three times my height. That thought would soon be thrown away as the blade flipped back into place on both ends. It looked like a combination of a scythe and a battle ax. The scythe's blade was carved in or something like that, it reminded me of cheese spots and how you'd imagine cheese to have indents from certain angles. The same was on the ax's blade, and that theme followed with the blade. The only difference was that it was much less organized and more disarray. Sharp cuts, smooth circular cuts, and square cuts could be found throughout the handle. Two large, smooth indents looked like they were where I should handle the scythe.
Besides those aspects, the most important one was how thin the scythe was, almost paper-like. I'm sure I'll be able to change the sizes later down the line, but for now, this is fine.
I'd be lying if I said it didn't look cool.
"Ya know, you kinda look like a little kid with both your giant wings and scythe, hahaha!" Sothis pointed out.
These were a little bit large, but I wasn't complaining.
