Blaise stretched his waist, transfiguration was no easy job with his body shifting into something too small to manage all of his magical powers, it was like being stuffed in a small box too small for his size. But when he heard that Yakov has sent Bree a bouquet he couldn't sit still, he wished he could have sat still but he couldn't so, even though it was annoying as heck, he had to transfigure himself into a cat.
And damn those guards—— they were too good at their jobs, if he wasn't the most powerful archmage of this Empire, he was worried that he would never have been able to sneak past those pesky guards of his mate, why were they even trying to hide her from him, it wasn't like he was going to hurt her—— heh.
He strode towards the dustbin that was specially created for Bree and clicked his tongue. " Tsk, what a pity, I heard that these flowers were the rarest among the rare and were only found in the garden of the Sceptre family. If I am not wrong, then Yakov must have stolen it from his own family's garden, yet you burnt them so heartlessly like this, should I send these poor remains to my dear brother, Yakov? What do you say, your majesty?"
Under the moonlight, Bree's raven locks glowed with a silvery shimmer as she rested her sword against Blaise's neck, ever since she grew up, she was often stalked by the boys of her class and when she joined the company, it only became even worse——thus, Bree was very alert of her surroundings no matter where she was, though Blaise has tried to bound her with a sleeping spell, she was still able to break it after she sensed that someone has broken in her room.
Inching the sword closer, Bree spoke in a deadly whisper, " I thought I ordered you to never step near my bed chambers! What are you doing here?"
"Hmm, temper, temper, would you look at that twitching nose of yours?" mused Blaise as he pinched the tip of the sword on his neck with his fingers. Of course, Bree didn't let him push it away and nor did he try to do so, he simply turned around and looked at her, with a flattering smile on his face but even then she was able to see the arrogance in his eyes, the way he was smiling at her. " This anger is going to harm your skin, my darling."
Bree veered the sword closer to him when he tried to get close. " I am not your darling and don't you move from your spot, Blaise De Luca. One wrong move and your head will be rolling on the ground!"
" Oh my, what a temper." Blaise shook his head as he tittered with his fist against his mouth, he tilted his head and snickered. " Why do you want my head to roll on the ground, your majesty? My head can serve more than one purpose, like serving you in the bed, have you forgotten just how talented my tongue is after staying alone for so long?"
Bree felt heat rush in her cheeks after hearing his crude words, she knew that the Dragon Queen wasn't a virgin but she was! Forget about doing those X-rated things, she hasn't even held hands with a man! She took her sword away and pointed at the door, not wanting to waste any more time with him, she knew Blaise, he was standing here, teasing her like this only because he was certain that he could take her on in case she really did attack him. " Get out, I don't want to see your face, I am surprised that you even have the nerve to come here after what you planned to do to me, you should be grateful that I haven't ordered for your entire family's head to roll along with yours, How dare you disregard my order!"
The smile on Blaise's face tilted down a little taking a darker edge as he opened his eyes and stared at her with those silvery orbs that seemed to be looking more than at her face. " How dare I disregard your order? Maybe you have for your majesty before your loyal subject and husband, I am your mate. Not the imprinted one but the one you are fated with, you can never order me to stay away from you, my dear…try if you may."
The wind rustled as Bree aimed a fireball at Blaise who didn't even dodge it, just with a snap of his finger, he doused it. " You sure have some bold words for someone who wanted to kill his mate just a day ago."
She has expected him to at least drop his smile and look a bit serious but surprisingly, he didn't. His smile didn't drop instead it became even wider as he kicked off the wall he was standing against and strode towards her, she clutched her sword ready to swing at him but then she realised that she couldn't even move —— no, she could move but her fingers were trembling like a pitiful lamb that was waiting to be slain.
" Blaise De Luca!" She gritted out but the man didn't stop nor did he break the spell, walking closer he took a stand of her hair and twirled it around his fingers before kissing it. " If you think that killing you is the worst thing that I can do to you, then you are wrong, my darling. I have no intention of killing you and even if I did, you wouldn't be hating me, you would be beyond the moon to finally get the salvation that you can't while you are still alive and together with me."
His voice was low and seductive like that of a devil—— luring her into a temptation that she should have never even looked at. And as her gaze met with his, Bree was certain of one thing and that was —— Blaise for the first time he came here was speaking the truth.
