" Yakov!" When Harley saw Yakov walking out of the palace, she originally wanted to go inside just like always but for some reason, the guard who was stationed at Yakov's palace entrance was changed today and he wouldn't let her get inside, he kept repeating the same thing over and over again that her going inside at the moment was something that he couldn't allow and she has to wait at the entrance until or unless, Yakov doesn't allow her entrance.
Harley was severely pissed, she was Yakov's lover and the other consorts too loved her just as much. She was only a few points away from getting a total of hundred love points and then she would be the most important person to the four consorts! How dare a puny guard to stop her at the entrance of the palace of her lover! How will this reflect on her future if she were to become the Queen?
Thankfully, Yakov was still the same as usual, he came for her as soon as the guard send the word that she was there and she didn't have to wait for long. She smiled at Yakov and hurriedly pointed at the guard and pouted. " He is not letting me enter, please tell her that we are good friends and he can allow me to come inside your palace whenever I come to look for you."

" Harold Tapas," answered the guard as he respectfully answer Yakov's question and further added, " And no, I can't do that. I can't allow a maid to visit you as per her wishes, I don't think that I need to remind you that as the main consort, it's not right for you to meet anyone from the opposite gender and that too so late at night."
Though Harold's voice and words were polite, it was clear that he was pointing fingers at Yakov and Harley for their previous rendezvous.
" You! How dare!" Aileen took out his sword from its sheath, he couldn't believe that the guard dared to talk with his master like this. So, what if his master was stripped of his powers as the main consort? He was still the husband and mate of the Dragon Queen!
Yakov raised his hand and stopped Aileen, he quietly assessed the guard who was standing stubbornly at the palace gate and asked lightly, " Are you commander of Bree's special regiment? The one responsible for protecting her from internal strifes and assassins?"
Harold didn't respond but his stance was pretty clear, and Yakov's lips curled in a mocking smile. Ah, so he wasn't even being treated like a consort but a nutcase who was a threat to the Queen, though Yakov maintained his dignified and understanding pride as the heir and the son of the Sceptre family, his hands were tightly clenched under his sleeves.
Bree! Bree! Bree! How can she treat him like this? First, she thought of that stupid plan of testing him and then she made out with those filthy omegas in front of him and when he returned the favour all of a sudden, he was a criminal?

Trying to breathe steadily, he asked, " I see, I completely understand what you are trying to say Sir Tapas, but can you at least let her inside so that we can talk? I promise I won't take get away from your sight. Will that do?"
Harold looked at him, though he hesitated for a long time. He still nodded and opened the door. The door to the palace of the consorts was magically built, they were interlinked with the mind of the guards who were guarding them, only when the guard allowed the person who came to visit the consorts, can they meet the consorts of the respective palace.
It was hard enough to meet them before but now it looked like meeting the consorts was going to get just as difficult as seeing the Queen. And Harley wasn't happy about it in the least.
As soon as they were out of earshot of the guard, Harley couldn't help herself as she reached out and held Yakov's wrist. " Yakov what is going on? Why is it that they have locked you up like this? And why did the head maid say that your powers were taken away from you?"
Though Harley came here to get her job back, she wasn't as stupid as to demand Yakov's help. She was apt at sweet-talking and that was the only reason she was able to stay alive in this world.
This magical world looked like it was taken out of some fairytale but the truth was—— it was vividly different from the world where she used to live. The alphas ruled the world, each alpha shifter fought for dominance, the more dominant he or she was, the more they were respected as for those who were omegas, they were nothing but a breeding machines.
