Nicholas cupped his throat and nursed the skin that had been pinched so hard that it had turned blue. "Get out," he muttered. "I don't care about getting a place in the empire anymore; just don't come to bother me and my people."
Bree smiled upon hearing his words as she remarked, "You are forgetting that even this territory comes under my control, Nicholas. Thus, I can come here at any moment. You have no right to stop me."
The man flashed her a sour look as he lowered his head and coughed.
