"Crystal."
She chuckled. What was funny? I call her that often to annoy her but she had never laughed it off before. She raised her eyebrows telling me to go on.
"Don't bring up the innovation idea even if we somehow manage to win, which I doubt."
I said in an attempt to persuade her so she wouldn't fall into the trap Douglas had set for her. I knew he was up to something.
"Why not? It's the right opportunity we have been waiting for Carter. Doug promised to fulfill the winner's request."
Bella argued and I snapped.
"Jesus! Are you dumb? He is obviously laying a trap for you. Do you really think he doesn't suspect or know you are making this change for business purpose."
I snapped and the flicker of her own anger matched mine. Can we not fight for a change? I knew I shouldn't have snapped at her but that was just me being me.
