"Hey!" Ace called out, and I instantly became plain. I felt a cold chill that I can't explain, and goosebumps covered my entire body. My heartbeat raced rapidly and it was almost as if I'm being struck by lightning.
Ace gently shakes my shoulder. "You scare the hell out of me, Sugarplum." Ace declared, as he tried his hardest to bring me back to reality.
Ace had no choice but to plant a kiss on my cheek because I was still motionless. His soft lip, which ignited a spark within me, immediately brought me back to reality.
I continued to blink my eyes, and my breathing became more rapid. "Hey, calm down." Ace whispers, as he caresses my back, hoping to calm my already tense nerves.
