I flagged down a taxi and returned to the mansion.
I had instructed the cab driver to drive quickly because I didn't want Ace to arrive home before me.
When I arrived at the mansion, I took a bath and changed into my nightgown, and just as I was about to head straight to the sitting room, Ace appeared.
He had a creepy smile on his face. "Where did you go after work?" Ace interrogates as if he were my father.
I scuffed. "I head straight to the mansion." I replied, which is partially a lie because I went out with Grandpa Douglas and then returned to the mansion.
"Ohh!" Ace mumbles as he rolls his wheelchair further into the sitting room. "By the way, why did you drive to my workplace today? You claimed yesterday that you closed your company on time because of me, and I doubt you'll make the same excuse today." I said this as I closed the gap between us.
