Ace exhales, and a thin smile appears on his lips. Ace immediately goes blank, staring at nothing in particular.
Seeing that he's forcing himself to say something to me, I blink several times, planning what I'm going to do to change the subject of the day.
Since Ace isn't ready to speak, I should just leave him alone. I snapped my hands in front of Ace, jolting him back to reality. "You don't have to force yourself to say anything Ace; I still love you and will always love you." While smiling at him, I declare.
Ace's eyes light up as he looks at me, surprised. "Did you just say you love me?" Ace inquired, his eyes wide open at me.
I pushed away from his side and rolled to the other side of the bed, my hands covering my face. "This is the first time I've heard you say the word love." Ace added, making me feel even more embarrassed.
