I was still at work when my manager approached me and asked to speak with me.
I was initially terrified because the last time he called out to me was when I had returned from the hospital.
At the time, my boss accused me of being pregnant and having had an abortion, but we were able to settle the useless assumption peacefully.
I was currently making my way to his office when he told me to take a seat. "Good afternoon, boss," I said, bowing slightly.
"Good afternoon, Natasha," he said, smiling. "You only have a morning shift, so I believe you are aware that you are supposed to leave," he declares, which made me to raise my brows.
"Sorry, sir, but I'm a little confused," I say quietly, because I'm not sure where his exaltation is leading.
He exhales. "You have to return home, Natasha, and I believe my words aren't that difficult for you to understand," he explained, trying to explain his previous statement.
