Ace exhales. "The guy was arrested, but he escaped from prison the same night." Ace explains, causing me to shut my eyes wide open because I didn't see this coming.
He had previously stated that the man was in prison, so I was expecting him to tell me what they had done to the man.
I wasn't expecting Ace to say that the man had escaped. I mean, he's literally walking down the street while I'm still in a hospital bed, terrified of my freaking damm life. "It appears that he has connections both inside and outside the prison." Ace added as he tries to explain things to me properly.
"But...." My voice trailed off, and I'm not sure why my mouth has suddenly decided to betray me.
"I'm going to find him." Ace reassured me with a warm smile on his lips.
I bite my lower lip, deciding to rely on Ace words. "Just don't let anyone hurt me, okay?" I declare.
