A wide smile was plastered on my face, which was immediately after I had made my way out of the company building.
Helping others is something that I'm delighted to do.
Besides I am hundred one percent sure that the lady is going to use the money in helping out her family members.
Currently! All that is now left for me to do is to find a good paying job.
Yeah! I'm aware that by the end of the month, Ace is going to pay me, but still, I can't depend on him.
Ace is arrogant, and who knows, he might end up breaching the contract by the end of the month.
This is enough reason for me to have a stable income. Besides, if he eventually ends up breaching the contract, I'm not going to be hurt because I still benefit from him.
I live under his roof, and eat food that is being paid for by his own money.
Ace didn't tell me anything about his car, so after successfully contemplating for a while, I decided not to take his car.
"I'm stranded sir, please can you lend me a few dollars notes?" I pleaded with one of Ace company security guards.
"I'm sorry, but I don't have cash on me." The man said as he stared at me with an apologist expression.
"You don't have to worry Miss. I have a few dollar notes with me." The lady who I had just helped a while ago declares.
I turn around, shifting my gaze at her. "Did you get the job?" I inquire.
"Yes!" She exclaims, pulling me closer to her for a warm hug.
I hugged her back. "Congratulations!" I whisper in her ear.
"Thanks for all your help back there." She said, pulling away from me.
The lady opened her handbag and handed me a hundred-dollar note. "This is small, but I appreciate your help." She declares, offering the money to me.
"What I did was nothing, so you don't have to give me money in return. I appreciate the fact that I was able to be of help." I sincerely replied, while rejecting the money from the lady.
"No this is...."
"Thanks!" quickly exclaimed, collecting the money from the hands of the lady.
One thing that I have gotten to notice in life is that most people offer something, without being willing to give.
I can't possibly risk rejecting the money for the second time.
Who knows?
She might not persuade me again, perhaps she might just put the money back inside her handbag.
I have done that to people a few times, and I wish that karma doesn't play games with me in the worst way ever.
Besides, we humans are weird, and we all have different funny personality
After exchanging some words of appreciation, I turned around to take a cab.
I have no idea where I'm going to be heading, so after stopping the cab, I apologize and decided to just walk around.
I made my way towards a restaurant, and they proclaim that they have no vacancy.
I made my way to several different restaurants that's not too fancy. Either there's no vacancy or they aren't looking for workers.
It just seems as if working in a restaurant is no longer my calling.
'Job vacancy.' I suddenly saw a flier on the floor.
I didn't hesitate to pick up the flier.
Reading the description, I found out the job vacancy is at a prestigious hotel.
Gush! I have never worked in a hotel, but since I desperately need the job, I decided to give it a try.
I took a cab and described where I intended to go, to the driver.
In no time, I arrived at my destination.
The hotel's name is 'Romance the flow.'
The building of the hotel is very long, and just to be precise it's a skyscraper building.
From where I'm currently standing, I can tell that this hotel belongs to one of the richest CEOs.
'Woah!' I gasp, which is immediately when I enter the hotel building.
"How may I help you?" The receptionist in charge asked.
"I heard that there's a job vacancy here, so I was wondering if it's still open," I replied, showing her the flier which I had seen on the roadside.
"Yes! It's still available. Please make your way to the fifth floor. You are going to see other candidates, so please wait for your turn." She uttered with her sweet friendly voice.
The voice of the receptionist alone gives me the full courage that I might end up being a worker at the hotel.
Well! I don't know what type of job that's available, but still I want to give it a try.
"Thanks!" I mumble, as I slightly bow my head.
I did as I was instructed to do, and it didn't take long before I was finally able to see other candidates.
I waited for more than two hours, but each time an individual is being interviewed, they always tend to step out of the interviewer's office with a frowned expression.
"What happened?" I asked a Lady who had just stepped out of the interviewer's office.
"I don't know. I was only asked a question and nothing more." The lady declares.
I can tell that she doesn't want to give enough information.
I nod my head and allow her to go. Besides, it's going to be my turn very soon.
Two more hours, and it was finally my turn.
I slowly made my way inside the office, and I was stunned to see how beautiful it was.
The man who's currently in the office is damn beautiful and very handsome.
He's young and alluring.
"Hi! Good day!" I greeted, as I continued to remain standing.
He gazes at me intensely, while I lower my gaze. "You may sit." He utter.
His voice is calm and breathtaking.
"Thanks!" I mumble, before taking my seat.
A moment of silence followed, but I'm not nervous.
I don't have high hopes of having this job, so I wasn't nervous. "Have you ever worked before?"
"Yes!" I replied while smiling.
"What are the reasons why you stop working?" The handsome man asked.
"To be honest, my manager disrespected my younger sister, so I got mad," I replied sincerely.
He scuffed. "What's your name again?"
He hasn't asked for my name, but he went ahead to use the word 'Again'
"My name is hired."
"You are hired?" The man asked.
"OMG! Thanks!" I exclaim, rising from my seat.
I'm aware that he had asked if I'm hired, but I decided to pretend as if he had hired me.
'Good one Natasha!' I mumble to myself.
