Pain seared all over his body, but Darius didn't scream. He held onto his broken body and started staggering toward the city center. When he arrived outside the Magic Hall, he saw how easy Acuben and Nunki were thrashing the two other executioners. However, he didn't care about the four of them. He continued to trudge forward.
He didn't know when, but he felt like Acuben started following him from a distance. It was even like the other two had retreated minutes after he walked out. After all, the vampire executioner followed him as well. However, none of them spoke to him or even dared to stop him.
Darius soon reached the city center, where Sheratan was laying waste to the place some more. He could see Spica trying her best to hold onto the nightmare that Sheratan was trying to break. Aldous was exchanging blows with the black wolf that was oozing with black smoke.
