They were supposed to be walking back to the school, but Megan noticed that they took a different turn. The alley they took was even screaming at her as if it was filled with the baddies. Moreover, Megan could also smell a rather repulsive scent from those people. She had no idea what those were, but they were definitely not human.
When they stepped into the center of the alley, Archer stopped walking. He then began to look around as if something was amiss. His friends should have jumped out by now. Where were they?
"You just realized that we took a wrong turn?" Megan didn't stop walking when he did, but she spun on her heel and walked to him when he was looking around.
"Yeah, I got distracted…" Archer still didn't move. He didn't know why they responded to him earlier, but minutes after, they still all turned with their tails tucked between their legs. Grimacing discreetly, he turned around to walk out of the smelly alley.
