Unlike the last time Darius found himself in the Mirage Castle, he was now standing at a regally decorated place. The hallway had maroon and gold curtains, along with the emblems of the Sanctum of Mirrors. He did notice how the crest of the Mirage Queen was missing or blatantly covered by the curtains and ornaments.
The castle destroyed by Solar's flames and their claws was now back to accepting visitors. The bare walls didn't stand up to the prestige of their ruler back then, but right now, Darius doubted that he was walking the same castle that should have crashed down a couple of weeks ago.
Darius was left to walk the halls on his own since he was separated from the group. However, he didn't even care as the walls and decors were morphing into something else. The maroon-gold surroundings soon became a sea of red and black with gold accents. It was a castle that seemed to have been embedded in his mind. Wherever Darius walked, he continued to see those walls.
