When Monday came that week, none of the students involved had a clear memory of that night. It was as if they all had the consensus that they were almost hijacked, but the police came before they were even taken. The only casualties were the drivers and a pair of teachers. All they could remember was being sat on the ground altogether… and everything after that was a blur until the police came.
Aurora was the only one who remembered. When she saw Megan and Emmett coming to school together—the boy on a separate electric bike; she was very happy. She waited until Megan finished saying goodbye to the docile, bespectacled Mabel before smiling at the pair that arrived. Within her eyes was a message that she was hoping to send.
"…I think the bracelet I gave you is too powerful…" Megan was a little shocked. Aurora didn't seem to react as lost as the others were. Since Cindy and the rest were not yet there, Megan decided to speak. "You remember all of it, don't you?"
