"…Daddy, I'm scared…"
Darius woke up to a whisper coming from Dylan's soft voice. The fear in it instantly powered his rather tired body. He got up from the bed, pushing Nicholai's arm off of him. The daddy noticed that the sky was still dark, and his phone was even registering the time as four in the morning. There was a strange scent in the air, but it was too faint. Only the heightened senses of a worried father caught it.
Grabbing a robe at the side of the nightstand, Darius wore it before going out of the room. He walked toward Dylan's room… only to find no one on the bed. The lesser Alpha looked under the bed and then at the ensuite. He quickly came to the window and saw that someone had gone through it. Darius grabbed the frame of the movable part and got out of it.
