"Her mate?" Darius and Nicholai murmured at the same time. They only looked at the stone golem, but Horace didn't say anything anymore.
The doors opened, and Darius didn't want to enter on his own. Nicholai stepped in, but he placed himself halfway in. He then slid a glare at the stone wolf at the side. "I'll let you know that I can escape with Darius at any time, especially when you dare to lock us up in here. If you choose to harm us, I will destroy you and this entire castle."
Horace didn't change his neutral expression. He only answered, "You walk with the Master. Why would I trap him within the bounds of the castle that your family decimated ages ago? If you give back our Abyssal Territory, I might reconsider not taking your puny words against me."
