'Jump, Lize. I will catch up with you in the water!'
She clearly remembered the last words that her friend had given her. However, from the depths of the sea, she saw how that very friend was shredded into pieces by a ball of whistling and cutting winds. It didn't help that the body parts fell into the same water that Lize had fallen in. The last time she looked into the eyes of her friend and guardian, it was on a severed head.
Remembering this nightmare quickly roused her from her sleep. Her eyes opened with a loud slick sound as if something sticky was between her eyeballs and the lids. It's just that… it was because she was still in her siren body. She woke up inside a pond with some fish swimming around the surface. There were even some that were picking the debris from her scaled tail.
