After a brief internal battle, Emma decided to tell Melissa the truth. "Both of them asked me but Owen asked me first, so—"
"So you chose not according to your liking but on the account of who asked you first?" Before Emma could answer, Melissa fired another strong question at her. "So whom do you like more amongst the two of them?'
"I—" Emma felt very flustered. How was she supposed to answer that question when she herself wasn't sure about the answer?
Both Owen and Daniel were close to her. Even though she felt a little different about Daniel, it wasn't something she wished to share with anyone yet.
“Come on now, aunt, you are freaking her out.” Damon hooked his arms around Melissa’s shoulder. “She already looks very nervous.”
He then looked at Emma. “Don’t mind her, she is just excited after knowing that you exist.”
“That’s alright, I definitely didn’t mind.” Emma smiled. “And you must be Damon.”
