[SATURDAY, OUTSIDE ANNA AND EMMA'S APARTMENT]
Leaning against someone's car, Emma waited for Owen to arrive. It was the weekend and they had plans of going to Javus to hear the rock band and also to have a fun evening.
"Excuse me miss, is this yours?"
Glancing at the handkerchief the man was holding, Emma nodded, "Yes, I must have dropped it." She took it from him and smiled, "Thank you."
"You're welcome."
When the man kept standing near her, she inquired, "Is there something else?"
"That's my car."
"I am so sorry—" Emma quickly stepped away. "I didn't realize I was blocking your way."
"That's okay." The man unlocked the car with a click. "Are you waiting for someone?"
"I am waiting for a friend."
"He seems to be running late," the man remarked.
Glancing at her wristwatch, she nodded, "A little." It was almost 8:30 PM, the original plan was to leave at 8.
The man was about to say something when a motorcycle stopped in front of them.
