While Lei Zhen was leisurely working in his part-time job, the rest of the world was currently embroiled in chaos.
In the Aries Guild's headquarters meeting hall, a group of people was sitting near a large round table.
"Vice Leader, the announcement made by Tundra is making every Magnolia Player go crazy. Our guild is also being affected with many of them dropping their exploration and expedition to try and find the mysterious player."
"Didn't I tell them not to drop their current task?" A woman that seemed to be in her mid-20s exclaimed in rage when she heard her subordinate relaying some information regarding the guild members.
She had long blonde hair topped with her silky and smooth long legs in a small skirt. Her eyes were brown and she had a highly attractive facial appearance that was on par with celebrities.
She was Cecile, the famous mage that could cast three different spells at the same time and made a name for herself in Magnolia. Currently, she is managing the Aries Guild as the Vice Leader.
Every member in the Aries Guild equally feared and respected her at the same time, given how her decisive command helped retain their position as one of the top 12 guilds in Magnolia.
Cecile held a fierce glint at one of the members and asked, "Carlos, have you not announced my orders to the rest of the guild members? Or is my influence completely negligent and that I should just resign my position?"
Carlos was a young man dressed in some branded clothes. He had a muscular build, but despite that, he was currently sweating profusely upon hearing the question from Cecile.
"I-It's my negligence that allowed those members of ours to disobey your command. I will quickly discipline them and warn them of the consequences. They shall be expelled from our Aries Guild if they dared to look for the mysterious player without your permission." Carlos hurriedly replied.
Cecile nodded her head and quickly waved her hand.
"Then what are you waiting for? Go back to the training room and enter the MagnoPod to deliver the announcement in our guild post. If I see any of our members searching for the mysterious player again, then don't blame me for being ruthless."
With that said, the people on the round table hurriedly dismissed themselves to enter the MagnoPod to warn their members.
As for Cecile, she sat on her chair absentminded. 'Just who is it that manages to trigger the main scenario quest?'
Meanwhile, in different countries, similar things were happening to what Cecille had commanded in the meeting hall.
There were 12 guilds that controlled most of the Magnolia environment respectively and they were identified as the Zodiac Guild. The reason being was simple, each name of the guild represented one of the Zodiac signs.
Aries was merely part of the 12 Zodiac Guild and there were still the Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces that balanced each other.
With each of them hoping to gain an advantage over others, they have been keeping peace lately. After all, if two guilds were to fight over something, then it would only benefit the other 10 guilds.
Of course, none of those currently matters to Lei Zhen as he was still at the beginning part of Magnolia.
Back at the Magnolia Convenience Store, Lei Zhen gently placed all the items into a singular bag as he handed it to the customer.
"Thank you for your purchases," Lei Zhen smiled brightly while the customer slowly left the convenience store.
It had been more than 4 hours since his shift had started. The matter of treating a bullet wound for Liu Lingxin was like a wind breeze for him.
He didn't brood over it much and began greeting new customers who had come here after visiting their loved ones in the hospital. At first, Lei Zhen was really worried that there would be no customers given the announcement post from Tundra.
However, he was blessed by people getting injured or infected with some diseases and had to be hospitalized. Otherwise, the people who visited them would never bother to come to the convenience store to purchase some snacks and drinks.
"Phew, why do I feel like I'm being immoral since I'm thankful for people getting hospitalized?" Lei Zhen muttered.
Though he quickly forgot about his immoral thoughts since he needed to have good sales to retain his job. Either way, it wasn't him that caused people to be hospitalized so why should he care about them?
Time slowly passed by, and Lei Zhen quickly finished his work hours as another person took his shift.
"Hello, I'm here to take over your shift. Manager Xu Gen should have told you about me, right?"
"Mhmm, you must be Tie Longkun," Lei Zhen shook hands with him and greeted him politely.
They were now technically co-workers even though they worked different shifts. Given how the Magnolia Convenience Store operates 24 hours, there are bound to be different people working at different times.
Tie Longkun took over the counter and asked Lei Zhen, "Have you heard of the announcement from Tundra?"
Lei Zhen nodded his head. "The Tundra announcement must have been going on like a storm for every Magnolia Player. I would be living under a rock if I didn't know such news, right?"
"That's true… Haha, everyone is now searching for the mysterious player. Rumors also had it that multiple conglomerates are offering millions to the mysterious player for cooperation."
Lei Zhen merely gave a soft laugh before bidding farewell to Tie Longkun, not bothering to continue the conversation.
After all, he wasn't really that interested in the mysterious player when he was still unsure of his current status in the game.
Tie Longkun thought that Lei Zhen must have been trying to rush home to enter Magnolia so he didn't mind his unsociable attitude.
"Ahh, if it weren't for my constant spending in Magnolia, then I would have been continuing to game and not work here." Tie Longkun complained about his misery.
Meanwhile, Lei Zhen had long left the vicinity so he couldn't hear the complaint from Tie Longkun.
Instead, he was focused on making his way toward the hospital. 'I should visit my sister again. It's been almost three days since my last visit, so she must have missed me.'
