Chapter 2 - The Main Character Has Arrived!

After what felt like months of silence and and anticipation, Julius finally opened his eyes to the muffled sound of a girl seeming to be yelling.

"Young master! Are you finally waking up after all this time?" A young 16 year old girl in a maids dress could be seen yelling to what seemed like a lifeless body on top of a large king sized bed.

Her voice started to become more clear as Julius finally opened his eyes, regaining all of his senses once again. A sudden smile appeared on his face as his eyes glimmered with excitement.

'I have transmigrated!' He thought to himself. Immediately trying to sit up and get out of bed. However, on trying to use his core muscles to sit up, a shock of pain jolted through his body like a lightning bolt, stopping him from moving.

"What the hell is this? I can't move my body at all!" He spoke out loud in confusion.

"Spoke... the young master just spoke!" The young maid seemed to be out of her mind. "How are you feeling? Is everything okay with your eye sight? What about your hearing?" She hurriedly spoke, inspecting every part of Julius' new body quickly.

"Who... who the hell are you?" Julius said, looking at this random girl standing beside him as he laid in bed.

"Oh right... you have never talked to me or even seen me once in your life. Ever since you went into a coma-induced state at age 6 because of mana blockages, you have never once opened your eyes all this time." The young maid said.

'Mana blockages!? So... mana truly exists in this world!' Julius became even more excited.

"You are my maid correct?" He asked, calming down the tone.

After a slight pause, the young girl replied. "Yes. I am Karla Sedone, your nobility's humble maid." The girl said, bowing slightly.

"Karla. After all of these years, my memories are all sorts of messed up. I want you to inform me about my life. Fill me in on things that I may not have a clue on." Julius asked decisively.

"Oh well, of course I'd be able to do that." The young girl seemed quite flustered with her situation, however, she still did her best to give the best reply possible. "Your name is Julius Menthaven, the young master of the Sades nobility, which is a lower-class noble family residing in the city of East Hayuir."

"You were adopted into the family, and have retained your original name of Menthaven which was written on your forehead when you first arrived to the doorstep of this noble family. Other than that, the only things I suppose you should know is that you were diagnosed with a mana blockage disease at age six and fell into a coma ever sense then. And now, you have miraculously awoken. Even I am still taken aback by this." She finished speaking.

'Wow... that's a whole lot to take in.' Julius thought to himself as a loud rumble could suddenly be heard coming from his stomach. Afterwards, he awkwardly laid there, not knowing what to say because of the embarrassment.

"Oh! Of course! I should get you food!" The young maid said as she hurried away.

"Please, bring as much as you can!" Julius managed to yell as she left the room.

Immediately after she left, Julius surveyed his surroundings, looking all around the room he was in and the technology of the place. It was quite a fancy, large room. Equipped with new and spotless furniture and a large crystal chandelier. It looked like the room of a person with a lavish lifestyle.

The technology in the room didn't seem to be too overly advanced. He concluded that he was most likely in a more medieval time period. He also took a look at his new body.

It was pale, scrawny, and visibly malnourished. Honestly, it looked quite pathetic.

'This body is absolutely unacceptable, however, this is due to a mana blockage in my core which I have no idea how to fix. My first priority should be trying to find a way to fix that as soon as possible.' He thought to himself.

The system spoke for the first time since coming into this new world.

'The system! It's seriously removing my biggest problem just like that? Well, I am definitely not complaining!' Julius excitedly thought to himself.

Almost instantly, the gloomy and tired feeling he felt just before had vanished. Now, he felt as though his veins and airways had expanded slightly, allowing life to refill his nearly deceased body. This body of his felt energy once again after many years.

After taking a deep breath, Julius sat up from his bed and placed his feet on the ground. Out of nowhere, another shock of pain erupted from his feet as he put weight on them and stepped on the ground.

'I guess this is the result of being bedridden for so many years. My bones are so weak that I feel excruciating pain from just trying to walk.' He thought to himself as he gritted his teeth and pushed himself up from his bed.

All of the weight of his body was now being put on of feet. The pain was initially extremely excruciating, however quickly calmed down after the first couple of steps. Even though he had not walked for over 10 years, he was still a human who had walked before.

As he tried to walk a little more, the door to his room sprung open, slightly surprising him.

"Young master! You should not be up!" The maid said suddenly as she stopped pushing the cart of food in front of her and quickly came to Julius' aid.

"I'm okay, there's no need to worry so much. Just bring me the food." Julius said as he sat back down on the bed with the help of Karla.

Karla pushed over the cart which held a plethora of different dishes that Julius had never even seen before in his life back on earth. Different types of vegetables and meat, that still looked similar to that of earths but were still slightly different.

Like red apples with stripes of yellow or a large chicken which seemed to also have three legs. However, Julius paid little attention to subtle differences and started to chow down like he had never done before.

The speed in which he consumed his food shocked Karla who stood near holding a steel plate to her chest.

'Wow... I guess he really hasn't eaten solid food in over 10 years. Is it okay for him to eat meat straight away like this?' She thought to herself as he stared at Julius eat.

'This food. Its so freaking good! The flavor! Its not something I've ever tasted before. The way it melts on my tongue the moment I put it in my mouth. It's amazing!' Julius thought to himself as he continued to eat.

After eating, Karla took away the cart of empty dishes.

'Perfect. Now, I can explore with no one here to bother me.' Julius thought to himself as he stood up once again and walked slightly faster outside of his room.

He noticed large and spacious halls that were filled with portraits of random people he had never seen in his life. He made his way outside of the house and noticed that where he lived was a gated property which held multiple buildings.

The building he just came out of seemed to be his own separate house which had only one bedroom. Right outside his house was what seemed to be a large training ground.

He spent a good time exploring the different buildings, and finally found what he was looking for, a library. No matter in which world, a library was always the tree of knowledge which held everything one wanted to know in the world. Right now, Julius wanted to know more about magic.

As he entered the library, the clerk at the front desk almost couldn't believe his eyes, having the re-put on his glasses to check if he was actually seeing correctly.

'Is that!? The young master? What in the world is he- how in the world is he!?' He was at a loss for words. 'I- I must report this to the lord!'

After a little bit of browsing, Julius found the exact books he was looking for. Three books containing information about magic. Introduction to Magic Elements, Mana Is the Source of All Life and Magic For Dummies.

Without a second thought, Julius picked up these books and slowly walked back to his room nonchalantly.

As he arrived, he placed the large books down on his bed and started to read, however, his time of study was cut short as his door suddenly slammed open, slightly surprising him once again.

"I'm telling you! When I came back from cleaning the dishes, he was gone!" A distressed Karla could be heard yelling to an adult man next to her.

They both paused however as all three people in the room made eye contact.

"Son?"
