Minty scurried to and fro the room before entering the bathroom to wash up. Finally putting on her clothes, she made her way to the door but suddenly stopped.
Something caught her attention, she saw Leo's wallet lying on one corner of the bed, she was immediately elated. Picking up the fancy wallet, she mused at it's weight searching it attentively. Her eyes occasionally darting towards the door for fear someone might walk in.
How can someone carry this much money with them?
She placed her shaky hands on the stacks of bank notes placed neatly in the wallet before picking out Leo's ID.
Staring at the name, she sucked in a breath of cold air.
Leo Smith! He must be from the powerful Smith family! What then was he doing with that girl in the cafe earlier. Minty could tell at a glance that the lady was no where near being rich.
Her ordinary clothes and a little tanned skin says it all.
She sneered and also took out his business card. She read the content and was determined to find Leo in his office later. Closing up the wallet she stuffed it in her purse and made a beeline for the door.
Immediately she walked out, she bumped into someone and a loud crash was heard.
Broken pieces of fine teacups with spilled tea and snacks were lying on the floor. The person frowned while looking at the spilt tea on the floor.
Minty sized up the person in front of her and noticing the maid's outfit she was putting on, She immediately raised her hand and slapped her. The maid shrieked and held the hurting part of her face in surprise.
Surprised? Yes she was surprised! From which corner did this woman pop out from. Before she could open her mouth to speak in protest, she heard Minty's ever annoying voice rebuking her.
"Are you blind?! Can't you see?! How dare you bump into me?! What if that hot tea had spilled on my body instead! Can you manage the cost you fool!!" she snarled in disdain.
She, Minty was still pissed! Leo kicked her out after having fun with her and threw bank notes on her face like she was some cheap wh*re.
She couldn't accept it!
All her life, she has always had men fawn over her and treat her like a gem. Since when had she ever suffered such kind of humiliation.
She had no where to vent her anger, and this stupid maid just so happen to present herself to her. She would be foolish, if she doesn't vent her anger on the maid.
She saw the maid bending down to pick up the broken pieces of teacup on the floor in silence and she snickered coldly in her heart, enjoying her new found authority.
This maid was just a pauper and leech in this household. She thought. Who was she?!
She was Minty! A potential mistress and woman of their third master. Sooner or later, all of them will have to bow their heads when they see her.
A little wonder what Maya would do if she knew Minty's thought. She would probably laugh her head off.
Don't know if it was over confidence our just pure delusion but this Minty was really gutsy.
