Chapter 39 - ENGAGEMENT GIFT

Huan Yang was waiting for the queen in front of the palace entrance.

The car was already waiting for the queen so they could make their way to the theater.

That theater would be the venue for the entire week to host the second leg of Bloody Spring.

The queen quickly entered the vehicle accompanied by Huan Yang. The alpha could clearly feel the presence of another pheromone next to the Queen's, really nice and sweet.

Wang Zheng was not used to seeing Huan Yang so occasionally, he always faithfully followed her up and down. Wherever she went he was around protecting and advising her.

They were finally in the car on the way to tonight's show.

Yen Bai would be the one to perform and although the queen was not looking forward to her performance, she had some positive expectation that she would not be disappointed.

She smiled satisfied.

Huan Yang could observe the queen's peaceful and happy appearance and felt really curious, after all she and Liu Wei were really close.

But how far?!

"Your majesty is happy."

The queen smiled. Yes, she really was.

Wang Zheng felt a grateful sense of happiness, the world even felt lighter.

"Looks?!"

The beginning of Bloody Spring felt like the beginning of the end of her sanity, she didn't have any positive feelings about it and even had it in her plans to make a big mess not to get married.

The queen had in her thoughts that she would likely be the last of her dynasty.

Would the Wang's after so many years and conquests come to an end so easily? It was unfortunate, but it felt inevitable.

"Your Majesty has already made her decision."

She nodded in agreement.

It was already very clear in her heart. "Yes… I want Liu Wei to be my wife."

"Is she already aware that your majesty needs an heir?"

"Yes, but let's take it one step at a time... Spring needs to end first."

Wang Zheng knew that it was first necessary to maintain secrecy about her relationship with Liu Wei, but after the Bloody Spring was over, there would be issues to be resolved with her advice. They were still two omegas and it was still impossible for them to naturally produce an heir.

A queen and princess who should sit back and quietly accept the relationship with a good alpha, have several children and live a life for the sake of their respective kingdoms and nations.

The family and the crown would come first.

But interestingly they chose very naturally to live their lives without regrets or fears, they knew the worst was yet to come and even without knowing how bad it would be, they would face it all together.

The queen smiled shyly at the thought that she was already somehow betrothed and engaged. "He agreed."

Bloody Spring was probably the couple's biggest stumbling block at the time.

After all, this was a competition for Wang Zheng's heart... Heart, title, fortune, companies, land...

All had in their hearts some desire to be chosen to share the throne with her.

The competition was based on punctual involvement and a choice would only be made at the last moment after much deliberation, after all if the Bloody Spring had been requested a lot it was due to the king's lack of interest in generating heirs and perpetuating the dynasty.

Wang Zheng was ready at first to choose anyone or not to choose anyone at all, but Liu Wei seemed like a rare gem that she was not willing to give up.

And she really wouldn't.

Huan Yang briefly looked at the papers in her arms and saw a purchase receipt. He eventually bought the television requested by the Queen. "I have already purchased the television and it should be installed tomorrow."

"Excellent."

Huan Yang was curious about the changes that were to come, after all, a television was a very big step for someone who used a computer just out of obligation and he always wondered how the queen managed to live so isolated.

Well, it was no secret that the queen only had a cell phone so she could communicate with the hospital and its staff.

The computer made it easier to read documents and write them, but she didn't watch movies or series, didn't look for ebooks and wasn't even interested in music.

Also, she had no interest in cars or electronics of any kind.

The castle was beautiful and luxurious, but it could easily be called old-fashioned.

The decor had not changed in at least two generations, so much of the furniture and the palace structure itself remained intact.

The only change made was the renovation of the ventilation system by Wang Zheng, but she never even looked at the rest and thought of changing it.

Huan Yang had in her heart that Liu Wei didn't have the profile to live in a place that looked so old and traditional, it was really funny to see the queen gradually entering this universe. "Does your majesty intend to renovate the castle again?"

Maybe that was the fun of loving someone so different from you, learning and always knowing new things.

She looked at Huan Yang's face in curiosity and could see her secretary's smile, he was really enjoying the situation. "Do you think it's necessary?"

He was thoughtful for a few seconds and nodded sincerely. "There was never a renovation that modernized the palace, you just messed with the ventilation system."

The queen thought seriously about the matter...her secretary was right.

She never really found herself interested in any room that went beyond her own bedroom, and she also didn't have much interest in subjects that went beyond her field of pheromone research.

She seemed very tiring all day thinking about work and when she got home thinking about other matters.

But the brief thought of seeing Liu Wei choosing a sofa or maybe a wallpaper… It felt like a memory she would really like to live with. "Ask them to make a project to renovate the palace… How is the house in the forest?"

Although it hadn't been that long since her meeting with Liu Wei in the first phase of Bloody Spring, she already had plans for that little house in the middle of the forest.

Yes, the queen's house had what it took to be a queen's house.

The renovation and cleaning that Liu Wei carried out on that house were essential to show how precarious its structure was after a long abandonment of a decade.

The house was just not about to collapse because the supporting pillars placed by the cabinetmakers hired by the little princess stubbornly kept those walls still standing.

The queen knew that this house must be like a little taste of paradise. A refuge. The home they would build together was in a house in the middle of the forest with a small stream and a huge garden with flowers and fruits.

Maybe in the brief moment when the lights so gently illuminated Liu Wei or maybe in the moment when they sat talking and laughing under the old apple tree… Maybe she was already in love.

Who knows. Wang Zheng couldn't tell, but this place was so special and so full of emotions and she was sure she wanted traces of her omega all over the house.

Her scent, her clothes and even her books.

It seemed very clear, that house must be hers and Liu Wei's.

The queen was really motivated to completely renovate that house and be able to present it to Liu Wei, that was her little piece of heaven and now it would be theirs.

"They're having problems with the structure of the house, if Liu Wei hadn't asked to put up those supporting beams, the house wouldn't have been standing much longer."

It seemed very literal that Liu Wei appeared to save Wang Zheng from complete chaos. She smiled satisfied.

Now she would take care of everything so that the two of them could live well.

"I see, take care of everything to make that house perfect… She is my engagement gift to Liu Wei."

Huan Yang looked surprised, nodded in agreement and made a note in his small notebook.

Everything would be perfect.
