Chapter 29 - PASSED OUT?

Liu Wei felt her legs weak and she really had to make a strong effort not to feel her body collapse. She sighed wearily.

Qui Mei watched her cousin from a distance and couldn't help but feel worried, the estrus of a high-level omega was really very strong, but she had never seen her cousin so weakened.

Anna wouldn't leave Liu Wei's side for nothing, the young princess was in no condition to be alone in a place full of pheromones like that.

The theater was large and beautiful, simply majestic.

The cabins were higher and instead of simple seats there were tables that could easily have 6 people around them.

Liu Wei was already in her stateroom, each participant had their own space and could call their own guests.

The young princess didn't have many options of who she would call, so only Anna and Qui Mei would accompany her during the show.

The place where the queen would stay was right in the center and could easily hold 20 people, but next to Wang Zheng was only Huan Yang, she sat completely alone at a huge and empty table.

Liu Wei briefly stared at the queen's throne and looked really lonely.

Wang Zheng was arguably the loneliest queen in a dynasty as long as that of the Wang family.

The queen had no brothers, cousins, uncles or grandparents.

She was completely alone atop a throne of gold and diamonds.

In the midst of the huge theater the remaining boxes and all other empty seats were being occupied by the elders, nobles, clergy and parliament of the people.

People were chatting happily and laughter was easily heard.

Wang Zheng watched the great movement around the stage, a huge structure was being formed and some instruments could gradually be seen being positioned.

The first stage of Bloody Spring had the idea of creating a romantic situation between the king and the candidate. After all, sharing a lifetime with someone should at least be a little romantic.

The second stage had the idea that the participant would show off to impress the king.

Alpha Chen Fu would be the first to show off his abilities and from what you could see it would probably have something to do with music.

Wang Zheng could see some elders talking to Chen Fu, really annoying.

The queen was fully aware that many elders supported the smell of fish as a future king, but she did not trust Chen Fu or the elders. Since her father's death she could not trust the old nobles.

Wang Zheng could clearly remember the moment when she received the news that her father had died and she was to travel to the battlefield.

Wang's country had a centuries-old conflict with Fen-sz's country.

The queen turned her face briefly to her secretary's direction and motioned for him to come over and bend down as she was seated and he was standing. "Huan Yang..."

Huan Yang quickly bent down so she could speak more comfortably.

"Find out Chen Fu's relationship with the elders."

The queen spoke in a whisper, she knew the walls outside her palace could not be trusted.

"Right."

The motive for the war ranged from unsuccessful trade deals to attempts at invasion and territory taking.

After the withdrawal of the rival army, Wang Zheng had no more problems regarding the war, but also a peace agreement was never officially established. So the feeling of tension was always shrouded in her realm.

The queen took advantage of the quiet and tedious environment to look at some documents and she would remain like that for several minutes until she felt a light tap on her shoulder.

"Your Majesty…"

Wang Zheng couldn't help but be surprised to see that there was Chen Fu, he looked around briefly and his secretary was gone.

She massaged her temples in complete dissatisfaction, she would need to call Huan Yang's attention later, it was inconceivable for the queen to be completely alone in some environment.

She tried to smile gently at the alpha and received a smile in return. "Chen Fu."

The man in front of her was wearing traditional clothing from his country, he looked ready to be the center of a great spectacle.

The alpha subtly took the queen's hand and kissed it lightly.

"I hope your majesty can enjoy the little show made especially for you."

She smiled.

Anyway, she knew that this was all for her, but what really made her happy was that the fish smell was much softer and less unpleasant.

The queen knew that Chen Fu wouldn't be wearing barrier protectors, it was really hard for adult alphas to cover their glands, this was a much more common habit among undifferentiated, omegas and betas.

"I'm flattered by that, do your best."

"Thanks."

Chen Fu could smell the faint scent of pineapple, but now there was a really different freshness. He particularly had a great perception of pheromones and the queen's was different than usual, if he didn't already know that it was impossible for the queen to be marked he would actually risk saying that the queen had a pheromone attached to hers.

He calmly watched the queen's view of the stage and smiled satisfied, the stage was turning out exactly as he had imagined.

Wang Zheng didn't feel cornered, but it was really uncomfortable for her to be alone with an alpha.

The alphas' sense of superiority irritated her more than the dominance instinct, after all if anyone dared to mark her she would simply rip the glands out of that person without any mercy, but as a queen she hated having to compete with an alpha over who should have more. reason or power… After all, wasn't that obvious? She was in charge of everything and everyone, of course she was more powerful.

Huan Yang was present once again in the environment and the queen silently watched her approach. She wanted to be completely alone so she could talk to her secretary properly.

But for some reason Chen Fu seemed like a decoy of unpleasant people and Hui Xu appeared along with his wife in the environment.

The ever-smiling old couple stared at them in impending anxiety, it was very obvious that they wanted the queen to choose Chen Fu.

Huan Yang approached the queen briefly and whispered in her ear.

Everyone around the queen found it really strange that he didn't speak openly about what had happened and they waited anxiously for her to speak.

Wang Zheng could feel her heart stopping and hands shaking.

"Has Liu Wei passed out?"

The queen suddenly got up from her throne and her first reaction was to want to run away from there, but she could feel a hand holding her tightly.

Hui Xu's wife was holding her wrist tightly.

"Your Majesty doesn't intend to miss our dear Chen Fu's performance, right?!"
