"Where are you going?"
Owen got down from the car. He didn't even have time to unsheathe the umbrella. He thought she was going to at least enter the house but she was going back up the street. The rain had increased its intensity too.
"As far away from you as my legs can take me."
She answered not tilting her head to meet him at all as she marched forward. What annoyed him the most was the fact that she was going to get wet again after he'd managed to get in the car where it was warm.
Did she care about her health at all?
"Felicy, you can come back to the house. I'll sleep in the car so you don't have to see my face. I won't come in until you leave for work tomorrow."
He watched her take steady steps back up the place he drove in through. She lifted her hand above her head and showed him her middle finger. Owen thought that was just childish. He was still under the rain and she was getting farther away from him with each step.
