Vito turned and vanished into nothingness.

Wrapped up by his thoughts, Mark turned his head to see, that Airin landed on the ground,
With a grin on her face, she waved her hand, and the floating bubble covering Mark and Christie landed on the ground.
Mark stood up and glanced at Airin, who was chanting something.
Just as she stopped chanting, the barrier covering them disappeared.
"Miss Christie… you alright?" Mark asked with visible concern in his voice.
Christie didn't say anything but looked at the woman standing in front of them.
"you two! follow me, and don't do anything funny, if you don't want any trouble."
She said as she opened the wooden door, revealing a dark interior.
Mark couldn't see anything inside, but the pitch-black insides gave him a chill down his spine.
He was hesitating to follow her as she entered the tower, or more likely vanished in the darkness.
'I still have the overdrive mode… I don't know how strong it would be but…' he was still pretty calm about the situation because he believed that the system wouldn't let him die so easily.
He still was prepared for the worst.
Christie looked at him and nodded as they entered the tower.
"hm… there you go," Airin said as she waved her hand.
The room started to brighten up as a purple flash of energy started to flow along the way.
Mark realized that the interior was huge, and the staircase was on the corner.
"Follow me, and don't wander around the room."
She said and darted to walk towards the stairs.
Mark and Christie followed her and went to the stairs.
"What do you think about this tower? Beautiful isn't it?"
Airin said with a playful smile.
Mark and Christie looked at each other with weird expressions.
And they entered the 1st floor. Unlike the ground floor, there was a lot of weird art and symbols carved on the walls.
After that, they obediently followed her to the top floor.
'The heck? This is the 29th floor, how tall is this tower?' Mark thought to himself.
Airin turned back and looked at them with a smile, "we're here~"
She said as she stepped onto the 30th floor.

Suddenly a weird noise came from behind making them turn their heads.
Mark and Christie frowned looking at the humanoid dark orchid.
"What is she doing here… well, whatever" Airin looked at her but didn't say anything, and turned around.

Mark exclaimed inwardly as he stepped into the 30th floor.
His eyes were fixed on a gigantic portal in front of him.
Airin turned to them and smirked, "enter the portal."
Christie's expression turned pale as she noticed the portal. She secretly tried to use magic a few times after getting free from the barrier, but she couldn't even use her mana to cast any spell or summon any artifacts from her storage rings.
Mark on the other hand had a smirk on his face as he looked at the system screen.

Mark looked at the portal and then turned to Christie.
"Miss Christie, just go along with it, for now, I will figure something out," Mark Whispered in her ear.
As he looked at the portal, his heart started to beat faster.
Soon after he vanished within the portal first.
Following him, Christie also entered the portal.
"Are you coming or what?" Airin turned to the humanoid dark orchid.
The little girl didn't say anything and entered the portal following Christie.
Airin shook her head and then entered the portal.

The scene changes as Mark found himself inside a dark void, where he couldn't hear or see anything.
He tried to move, but his body was frozen, even his sense of time was fading away.
He struggled to stay conscious but an unexplainable aura surrounded him, making him feel dizzy.
It didn't take long before his consciousness faded away.
"haah! Haah!"
Mark opened his eyes, regaining his vision.
He looked In front of him where Christie was standing.
"where are we?" he asked and looked around.
The environment seemed the same as on the 7th floor, with a red moon lightening up the entire sky, with a dark red glow.
"aww… what is this…" Christie felt an unbearable stench assault his nose making her cover her face.
"Oh, this is the dump site of our stronghold. We usually leave the bodies here to dispose of…"
Airin said casually, waving her hand.
Mark and Christie looked at each other and gulped.
"Maybe your fate won't end up like theirs if you obey my orders…"
Airin said and started to walk in a particular direction.
"Follow me!"
Mark noticed they were in some sort of barren lands with little to no signals of life.
At the same time, Mark has his attention set on the system screen.
The radar system was online. He can easily locate Emily's location, if she was in his vicinity of a kilometer, still he could look at the directions and the overall map, using the radar system.
His eyes caught a city-like layout on the map.
"We're here!" After a few minutes of walking, they could see a few tall buildings in front of them from a distance.
Mark looked surprised, to see the tall buildings, which looked more modern and developed.
He saw a concrete road in front of them leading to the city.
They kept walking down the road until they were at the city entrance.
Huge walls were covering the city, and there was a small gate of a regular size.
There was a young man with a black tuxedo, and short white short hair, standing there in an elegant posture.
"Greeting my lady Airin El Varido "
The man bowed and greeted her.
"hmmph! What are you doing here? Well, whatever… just take these two to the city hall, for the daily check-up. afterward, send them to Vito's…"
She said with a pout and turned around. Two small black bat wings appeared on her back, as she turned to Mark.

She said as she got closer to Mark. And moved her mouth to her ear.
Mark flinched hearing that, "w-what?" he asked stutteringly, as he blushed.
Her smooth white hairs touched his face. and he didn't miss the chance to give it a good sniff.
"hahaha… such a cute reaction, see you soon."
She said and the next moment her figure disappeared from there..
Mark and Christie looked at each other then turned to the young man in a tuxedo.
"Follow me, Mr. And Miss."
The young man said as he turned around and started walking.
Mark and Christie looked at each other helplessly then started to walk.
