Beep!! Beep!! Beep!!
"Your phone's ringing." Tsunade said.
"Oh! Sorry, better put that on silence".
"No! No! It might be important.".
"Right! One sec" I took a step forward, then I heard Tsunade begin to say.
"So you're like those guys" she said.
"What guys?" I asked.
"You know, those guys?!"
"No, I don't know any guys!!"
"Those guys who wanders off to a corner to pick their calls."
"Oh, grow up!" I growled at her."It's my dad."
"Tell him I said hi. "
"Y'ello, Jordon speaking." I said as I picked the call.
"Jordon! Jordon! Where are you?"
"Woah, Dad, what's wrong?!"
"Jordon! Your mom asking me bout your whereabout, and you know your mom". He continued "Now, answer me so I can get off your mom's hook."
I did know my mom won't let anyone rest till she knows her kids are safe.
"Dad,I'm with my friends."
"No, you're not!"
"Yeah, you're right. I'm actually by the river."
"The city is filled with tons of rivers. Now quit lying and tell me where you are this instance!"
"Okay, okay, I'm at someplace called Area S-16." I replied.
"You shouldn't be there. There are secrets hidden down there." He said.
"There's nothing here. Plus it's a military base."
"Which makes it even more dangerous."
"You seem to know alot about this place." I said "And suddenly you're acting all suspicious."
"I don't have to explain anything to you."
"Look, dad, I'm here to unravel those dirty secrets."
"No, you're not!" He continued "Get your ass back home."
"Dad, it feels like my destiny."
"Then perhaps, you misplaced your destiny or it got stolen. 'Cause that's obviously not yours. No son of mine will be seen digging up scraps, in abandoned places, that no one cares about. That's doesn't seem like your destiny to me."
"Well, this is my happy place. I feel comfortable searching for scraps that no one cares about. I love this things. I love doing stuffs like this."
"You've gotta be kidding me." He said "No, you're just going through a phase. You can't actually be serious."
"Dad, I'm dead serious."
"It's my job as your father to make sure you don't make mistakes like this."
"I'm sixteen years old. I'm practically an adult."
"You don't even have a driver's license!"
"Neither does mom!"
"Don't you dare drag your mother into this!"
"Dad, I know what I'm doing."
"Jordon, don't you dare han-"
Too late, I'd already hanged up. So I just kept on searching.
After a few minutes, Tsunade broke the silence. "You mad at your dad?" It was clear from her body movements that she wasn't comfortable asking that question.
"Not really,-- I mean maybe, honestly, I don't know!"
"What are you gonna do about it?"
"To be honest, I don't know." I paused "I'm totally confused.'
We kept on walking into the darkness, it was a lot of fun. We've not reached quarter of the whole place and we were already tired. And so, we decided to rest somewhere that looked a bit like a cave, or a tunnel. I was so tired i couldn't differentiate. And it kept on going for miles.
In the tunnel, or cave, there were stones on the ceilings that brightened our way. It was like those you'd see in ancient mysterious temples. It was beyond beautiful. But as predicted, there was a booby trap.
"What the heck was that?!" Tsunade yelled.
"Just a booby trap, we should be fine." I replied. Women do be crazy, I thought.
"I don't think we should continue!" She quickly grabbed my flashlight and turbed the opposite way.
"Tsunade! Come on, where you going?" I inquired "Look, I know you're scared and freightened, but you need to remember why we do this." I paused, waiting for her to say something "If we can find something here that will help find where Theo and Ikkie might be, then this will all be worth it, okay?!"
"Fine, for Theo and Ikkie!". Silence.
In this tunnel, it was dark, stinky and wet. And we'd been down here for almost an hour.
"This place is creepy," Tsunade finally broke the silence "It's kinda like the place where people die!"
"You've watch way too many movies." I said.
"What?! It's true!"
"How bout we rest a little?" I asked.
"That's alright with me."
