Even with a makeshift boat with their bodies loaded, they finally made it to the shore. During the journey, they spent quite a long time until the wounds on their bodies began to heal.
In the chilly night conditions, fresh out of the water, and with their clothes more or less soaked in lake water, the chill was quite annoying on their skin.
Gretta wrung out the wet edges of her dress. She was back to being human, and so were the others. Leon noticed Gretta's face and looked cold. Even for Leon, the temperature was quite cold, let alone for Gretta.
"Come here." Leon pulled Gretta to walk closer beside him.
"Why do our moments together always have to be because of the cold?" asked Gretta, who had removed the part of the dress she had been wringing out.
"Ask the author, not me."
"How about we rest here tonight?" Shan broke the conversation between Leon and Gretta.
