"Wait up Jake!" Anna yelled as she ran after Jake.
Jake pretended not to hear Anna calling him, he was infuriated, just the day before; he was elated Opal had agreed to attend his birthday party and he could barely sleep at night because of the excitement, he pictured their meeting in his mind.
He initially came to the ice cream shop to preorder for ice cream for his party, he was doing everything to make sure the party was perfect for Opal, seeing her been cozy with another guy was definitely not in his plans.
Anna ran faster, caught up with Jake and forced him to look at her.
"Jake, I've been yelling your name, didn't you hear me?" Anna asked as she breathed heavily.
"Hi Anna, you're here?"
"Of course I am, ive been yelling your name, everything alright Pal? You look not happy."
