Ariel groaned as her legs hit the side of the table behind her. She shifted back again slowly watching her mom's face as she did so.
There was no point in lying again, her mom had already found out about everything all because of that darn boy, Adrian.
How could he tell her? Doesn't he know how to mind his business? Just wait until she gets to school, she would make sure that he regrets ever doing that. She just has to deal with this matter first.
"I'm asking you, young lady. Where did you go? And you better speak the truth this time around," Patricia asked, her anger already evident in her voice.
Ariel felt her legs shaking and her lips quivered. This was it, she had no other option than to tell her mother the truth. She has never seen her mom this angry before and that obviously meant that she won't get away with lying.
She dropped to her knees and burst into tears, rubbing her palms together as she pleaded with her mom.
