Adrian smirks as he watched Ariel's once excited expression fade away and become replaced with a confused expression, Ariel on the other hand thought she was hearing things.
"Forgive me Adrian but can you please repeat what you just said right now?" Ariel asked.
"I said Marie isn't home, she went out with our mother." Adrian repeated.
Ariel felt her legs go numb, countless thoughts began to bombard her mind, Marie was missing hence her worries escalated, there was no way she could go back home, her mother would find out she lied to her and she didn't want to imagine what would happen if she did, she shuddered at the thought, she stumbled backwards and before she could fall, Adrian reached out and caught her.
Adrian held her until she regained her recomposure, she held her head as she felt her temperature rise by the passing moment.
"Are you fine?" Adrian asked worriedly.
