Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

Nico's apartment is a synonym for disaster. That's what visitors always tell him --- not that he always has visitors, that is. 'Having visitors is a waste of time,' he reminded himself. But the truth of the matter is, sometimes he doesn't want visitors because he doesn't want to be disturbed in his work ... often he doesn't want visitors because he doesn't want them to have an accident because of the amount of clutter. It is difficult to answer their hospitalization.

"But it's harder to get along with my partner in the case!"

He slumped down on his favorite blue sofa and rested his feet on the pile of books in front of him. Nico winced as he still had the cup of coffee on his side. He can't even remember when he used it. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes.

"Heartless Killer ... You really are heartless, in every sense of the word."

Nico repeats the information he has read about the victims. 'He leaves no evidence at the crime scene, and he seems to be socializing with the victims first. But he kills them in their houses, and it looks like he deliberately tailed the Eastwood police at him, 'sighed the young detective. "It looks like our serial killer is in the mixed category. Both having characteristics of an organized and a disorganized criminal."

It will be difficult for him to make a criminal profile of this one.

His mind just stopped when his cellphone rang. He lazily took it from his jacket pocket and stared at the screen. After a few seconds of mental debate, he decided to answer the call.

"Dan, how many times can I tell you I'm not going to Sasha's party?"

He barely understood the other line. Some words just became clear to Nico.

"--- er's here! Take a break, Yuki. Just come with us once!"

Nico caressed his senses. I think his head hurts from what his colleague is saying. How many times does he have to tell him to just leave him alone?

"For Sherlock's sake! I'm not coming. I'd rather watch Detective Conan than party with you."

Plus, he's tired! Doesn't the world understand that a Nico Yukishito is tired too? Where is the justice?

He heard Dan sigh. He could almost imagine the other agent pouting like an idiot, thick-rimmed glasses on his face.

"Fine, fine. Have it your way ... By the way, how was your first day in the case? I heard, you've already met your partner! What's he like? He's a SHADOW agent, isn't he? Is it Brian? True Do they always carry a grenade in their pockets ?! What does he look like? What did he do ----! "

Nico had already removed the cellphone from his ear and turned off the call. He yawned and tossed his phone somewhere on the mess of clothes on the floor. He closed his eyes and returned concentration to the case.

'I can see no pattern other than all the victims were women. Aside from that, I can't think of any classification for them. '

His mind is like a storage cabinet. He went through the information and small details he got from their files. He tried mentally sorting them and rearraging everything, but it didn't make any sense. "This is pointless."

"Arf! Arf!"

Her pet dog leaned over her. He instantly smiled at the golden retriever. "Missed me, Goldilocks?"

"Arf! Arf!"

"I'll solve this case, no matter what happens ..." The detective said determinedly. Nico took the laptop from under the couch and opened it. His fingers immediately typing into the search bar.

In his research, he was looking for information on only one name. Nico needs to find out more about the man behind all this, and hopefully, something might make sense in his messy storage cabinet.

Cassio Salvador.

Of all the things Minnesota had prepared for, suddenly going to a party was what he didn't expect. After their shift, he was just shocked when Fe pulled him to change clothes and go with him somewhere. "Why do you need to be with me?" She asked annoyed as she adjusted the dress a friend had brought for her. It was a bit too short for her liking.

Fe shrugged, "Well, I don't want to go there alone! Maybe later I'll attract all the men and then they won't let me go. You know a goddess only came down to earth once!"

Min turned around and repeated the question, "Gaga. Why did you bring me? I don't know who has a birthday." All the girl knew was that it was the birthday celebration of a former batchmate of Fe's. That would probably make him "out-of-place" later in the party. 'Plus, embarrassing! They might call me a party-crasher! ' She mentally complained.

But the best friend just laughed, not caring about the sharp look at them or the taxi driver.

'Because its mouth is strong.' I sighed.

"Friend! Are you going to back off now when we're close? That's okay! I can invite you. Then I heard that Sash's older brother is also coming! I have a chance to pay attention so I need your moral support! "

Min was just shaking as the night got darker. He also texted his mother, so maybe it's okay, isn't it? Unless it's confusing to use a cellphone again.

"Alright."

After all, there was nothing he could do. She'll just make the best out of the situation.

Moments later, they were in front of a large house in Eastwood Heights. They were just outside, Min and Fe could already hear the loud music coming from inside. "Come on! Party-party! Wooooh!" Cheer friend. Min took in a deep breath and followed her. Bahala na.

When they got inside, they immediately noticed the crowd. They are already enjoying drinking and eating. Some were chattering happily on the sides. Before Min could think of an excuse to leave, a man approached them. He stashed his phone away and smiled at them. His thick eyeglasses reminded her of Dexter in those shitty cartoons.

"Hello there, ladies! My name's Dan." And it shook their hands.

"Hey. Nice meeting you, Dan! I'm Feralda and this is Minnesota ..." He said. Fe continued with a sweet and obviously fake smile, "Did you see Sash? I've been looking for him before."

Dan didn't seem to notice and pointed in the direction of the interior of the house.

"They're inside her older brother. They're also entertaining the guests. By the way, can I get your number -----?"

"Thanks, bye!"

And Fe quickly pulled him into the house. They no longer care about the ones they bump into. Min smiled apologetically at them. 'When the RADAR boylet of a' to is actually turned on, nothing can stop him. '

When they got inside (where there were more guests) Fe immediately looked for the birthday celebrant. After a few minutes, they faced it. He didn't say anything until they had finished dating and a friend had introduced him. Min smiled shyly at the woman, "Um ... Happy Birthday." What else is he supposed to say?

The birthday boy smiled sweetly. "Thanks!" Sasha's eyes briefly went to the man who had been silent beside her. It is tall and looks deep in thought. Sasha nudged the man with an elbow, "This is my older brother. He just came home from New York yesterday. He's on vacation."

Minnesota can already see Fe's eyes twinkle.

"Really? Omg! That's cool! What do you do for a living?"

The man is still speechless. Uninterested. Sasha sighed and smiled at them, "He's a lawyer."

It looks like Cupid really shot Fe's heart. Min just sighed and prayed that she would not faint. It looks like the friend will have a convulsion any time from now. Min noticed Sasha turned to her brother, a little irritated.

"Brother, speak up there." He's joking here.

But the attorney only gave a small smile, "Excuse me. I still have something to work on." And leave it without hesitation. Fe was almost choked with regret. "Oh. Your brother's killjoy."

Sasha smiled hesitantly, "She was really like that before. That's my workaholic brother, Attorney Lelouch San Andres." After that, Sasha also said that she will take care of the other guests and that maybe their relative is also looking for her.

Beside him, Fe was sadly held to his chest as if broken hearted by what had happened.

"Alas! That's why I don't like workaholics! He's still handsome. We should be fine. Hmph!"

"If you act like that, you think you don't have a boyfriend." Min jokes with him. Her friend may be joking and flirting around boys most of the time, but she knows she loves her three-year boyfriend.

Fe smiled shyly, "Shh! The boylets here might be disappointed that I was taken."

Minnesota laughed softly. 'Even when really, my friend's flirtation is indiscriminate. Oh my! '
